SARDINIA'S BEST
FOOD, WINES, AND ART THAT MOVE YOUR HEART
You know you are going to miss the vibrant warmth on your skin before going for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear blue water.
Hand Made Pasta
You know you are going to miss the soft Culurgiones pasta, hand-made by the women of Ulassai who follow recipes recited from memory that are passed down by grandmothers to their grandchildren. You can still recall how on every bite the filling of creamy potatoes mixes up with the savory taste of ripe tomatoes and fresh basil from the garden slowly cooked for three hours into a velvety ruby-red sauce. And how the grated goat cheese slowly melting on your tongue expands with a delightful softness, a fierce touch of saltiness and several hints of wild mountain herbs.

Art
And you see flashes of colours washing over your eyes like flags in the wind. It's the colours of tapestries you saw, reminding you of ancient Egyptian geometric patterns. Telling the story of how all Mediterranean people traded goods and knowledge. Colourful ceramics with abstract or animal decoration like cave drawings of centuries past. Yellow and brown hand-woven baskets, coarse to the touch like the palm of the hands that made them into humble and sought-after art pieces
And then there's the feelings you had walking home to your room at night surrounded by the ancestral deep sound of nightbirds and the casual slow wandering of fireflies. When the moon over the sea seemed so big and close you could touch it simply by stretching out your arm.
Leaving Sardinia is like leaving someone you love.
Take it with you
But you can take a part of it with you. Green olives from Oliena, plucked by laughing children during their Easter holidays. Salsiccia Sarda, the u-shaped salami that hangs from the ceiling in houses with a straw roof, waiting to dry out and mature so that shepherds can place them in their bags before going on their journey and eat it with their crunchy Carasau flatbread. Wines like precious fluids of life and vitality, standing in their bottles just as proudly as the vineyard owners after tasting the result of a year of work and many lifetimes of plant breeding and caring.
Biscuits like jewels to be savoured in the company of a good friend. Precious honey, for making your days away from Sardinia a little sweeter.
Leaving Sardinia is like leaving someone you love. But at Kara Sardegna you'll find something tangible to make you remember a little longer what it feels like living with a full heart.
KWAY
Imagine being seated at Café de la Paix, XI arrondissement in Paris, 1965 when it suddenly starts to rain. You observe how most of the people get wet while some others try to protect themselves with heavy and big umbrellas. Three people stand out: a mother and her two sons, all wearing red nylon clothing. The rain does not bother them at all.
It's this scene that inspires Leon Claude Duhamel to create a light and comfortable rain jacket.
Something that evolves over time in whole lines of apparel made to enjoy the outdoors in full comfort. Whether arriving in Olbia to spend a few days on a sailing boat or departing to other destination and further adventures, you will find a beautifully designed, colourful and comfortable solution to keep you protected from the elements while being fully immersed in nature.

Lounge Bar
Travelling is more comfortable when you know a great refreshment is easily available.
That's why on the ground floor of Eccelsa Aviation's terminal you get access toan amazing lounge bar. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans reaches the summer terrace. There you can enjoy a creamy espresso and a freshly baked croissant in the early morning sun.
The tanned and jovial manager - Adriano Balzanti - sources oranges and pomegranate from different organic farms in Sardinia to make fruit juices prepared a few instants before they are served to you.
He also knows personally the best producers of local salami, ham, and cheese - savoury and rich with the history and traditions of the Sardinian villages they come from - and serves them to you in warm crisp bread or soft focaccias that melt on your tongue.
While cocktails are served all day long, during the evening this lounge bar becomes one of the best spots in town to taste an Italian classic aperitivo or enjoy a glass of champagne.
*Items subject to availability. Please note that the menu changes daily.
Art
Have you noticed how some venues offer an art gallery? Well, at Eccelsa Aviation you'll find that the whole FBO terminal is an art gallery.
Stroll around in the garden area of the VIP entrance to discover pieces by Sardinian sculptors such as Sciola's Seed-Stones or Invisible Cities - inspired by the homonymous book by Italian genius writer Italo Calvino.
Next to the main entrance area, close your eyes and listen to Sciola's Music-Stones - which emit sound when the wind passes through at a certain angle and speed or when activated by another rock.
Get close and mirror yourself in the metal surfaces of Helidon Xhixha's rounded sculptures.
Get behind Sardinia tapestry motives both in their final state - at the lounge bar - orin the conceptual states as depicted by Pietro Zedde in his giant and colourful geometric prints - in the operations area
And if you are an architecture lover, take in the design of the terminal. With its vertical pillars and round surfaces, it's a constant meeting of masculine and feminine forms. All the while, the outside shell is a wonderful play of building tradition - represented by the yellow San Giacomo stones, sourced from a nearby quarry - and modern industrial design, particularly visible in the wing-shaped roofs, or the details of the Canopy and the entrance roof.
San Marino Aircraft Registry
The company makes it as easy as possible to register your aircraft and get your airworthiness certificate. In fact, you might find it so convenient as to swap your current registry too.
